Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Consultation & Lead Conversion
Contact small business owners (warm or cold leads), assess their cash flow crises, and position debt settlement as the optimal solution.
Document Gathering
Instruct clients on gathering and redacting essential financial records (e.g., bank statements, tax returns) to establish genuine economic hardship.
Client Enrollment
Explain settlement timelines, explain the legal implications of Confessions of Judgment (COJ), and guide clients through signing retainer agreements.
Negotiation & Lien Resolution
Interface with MCA funders and their legal teams to negotiate payoffs (often targeting a reduction to $0.40–$0.60 on the dollar) and facilitate the removal of UCC-1 liens.
Closing Execution
Ensure final agreements protect the client by securing formal waivers for COJs, UCC liens, and personal guarantees before releasing settlement funds.
Core Criteria & Requirements
Experience
Minimum 2–4 years of proven success in B2B financial sales, debt settlement, commercial mortgage closing, or merchant cash advance funding.
Financial Acumen
Strong understanding of MCA structures, factor rates, reconciliation requests, and how to read commercial loan documents.
Objection Handling
Ability to navigate high-pressure, emotional conversations while maintaining a confident, persuasive demeanor.
Compliance Knowledge
Familiarity with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) debt settlement guidelines and state-level MCA regulations (e.g., NY usury laws).
Tech Skills
Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and dialer systems.
